John Silkey
John is a senior consultant and facilitator with Strelo Group. He believes that challenges and transitions are key moments when individuals and groups can move closer to their full potential.
He thrives on growing and connecting groups and organizations in creative and novel ways. He was drawn to Strelo Group because of the firm’s track record for tackling complex and ambiguous challenges, and putting people and their well-being at the center of all work. John has more than 20 years of experience designing and executing department and enterprise strategy. This includes growing existing business structures or building them from the ground up — and in the process, helping people find “the right seat.” He has worked in higher education, real estate, energy, tech for good, and nonprofit leadership.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science degree from Blekinge Tekniska Hogskola in Sweden. He is LEED AP certified and earned a certificate in Generating Transformational Change from Pacific Integral.
A New York native, John has lived all over the United States, calling each corner home at least once. He now lives in Portland, OR, so he can spend as much time as possible outdoors: fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and wine tasting.
